The annual flyfishing extended weekend by our TU Southeastern Montgomery County Trout Unlimted Chapter to Penns Creek took place the third weekend in May, May 17 to May 20, 2007.

Twelve members of the chapter were guests of Dick McKenny and Hal McKenny (also members of our TU chapter) at the Lykens Valley Camp, which is situated on the best spot on Penns Creek, right at the railroad trestle where the train used to go through the tunnel in the mountain at the creek bend.

The photo montage is a collection of photos by Mike Wilson, Den Mora, Walt Kononenko and Jim Snyder. They capture the moments and experiences during the 3 days on Penns Creek.

This was a perfect weekend on Penns Creek. The night's were cold and also the water, in the mid 50's. The days were cloudy with occasional sun to perk up the insect life and the trout. Not too many hatches were evident. Fishing was challenging as always.

Thanks Dick and Hal for allowing our TU chapter to come and stay at Lykens Valley camp at the beginning of the march brown hatch..
