Twelve chapter members participated on Saturday Jume 29, 2002 on the first workday for this year on the stream improvement project along Pennypack Creek in Lorimer Park. It was a hot and sunny day. The members continued to move tons of riprap rock across the stream to start and finish rock deflector 5. Also we started deflector 6, but after our raft started to loose air we decided to call it a day. As usual, Ray Young organized a terrific lunch for the group by ordering pike-sized hoagies with much appreciated cold drinks. Another good work day under our belt with no injuries or dunkings to report, except for a broken plywood board and couple holes in our stone-ferrying raft.
We also set down markers in several places along the sream for monitoring.
