Ray Young's recognition award

March 9, 2002

On Saturday March 9, 2002 the Trout Unlimited South East Pennsylvania Region Chapters' meeting took place at the Upper Perkiomen Valley Public Library in Red Hill, PA. The regional chapters took part, which included Schuykill, Saucon Creek, Valley Forge, Bucks County, Perkiomen Valley and Southeastern Montgomery County. Joe Mihok, the Vice President of the Southeast Pennsylvania Region of Pennsylvania Trout, was the organizer and Perkiomen Valley chapter was the host chapter. Joe succeeded to have Charles Gauvin, the President of national Trout Unlimited, to come and participate at this meeting. After a breakfast meeting at the Country Cafe in Red Hill, the participants including Charles Gauvin took a tour of the stream restoration projects done by Perkiomen Valley chapter.

After the tour and right before Charles Gauvin's slide presentation, Charles Gauvin presented Ray Young, Jr. of the Southeastern Montgomery County TU, an inscribed pewter platter acknowledging Ray's years of unselfish work and devotion to his chapter and Trout Unlimited. Without Ray's dedication the SEMCTU Chapter #468 would not be where it is today.

The inscription reads as follows:

"Presented to
Ray Young, Jr.
In Appreciation For His Years
of Tireless Dedication to
Trout Unlimited
from the Members of
S.E. Montgomery County
Chapter # 468"

Thank you again Ray.
